Traditional clay is more precise and intensive—ideal for small areas and heavy soiling. The Clay Mitt is faster for large areas like a truck. The downside of clay: if you drop it on the ground, you have to throw it away. The mitt doesn't.

2-3 full applications for a passenger car, or 1-2 for a truck cab. Knead the clay regularly to ensure you're always using a clean side. Replace the clay as soon as it becomes thoroughly soiled.

First, wash and dry your vehicle. Spray a small area with lubricant (or soapy water). Lightly glide the clay over the wet surface—you'll feel resistance in dirty areas. Continue until it feels smooth. Dry and continue polishing or waxing.
